Is Maya eternal ? Why does it illusion the soul and not God?

Is Maya eternal ? WHy does it illusion the soul and not God?

Answer:

Maya is eternal because it is an energy of God. Maya is the external energy of Maharaj.

The souls get deluded because we are finite. We are not God. We didn’t create Maya.

This is a clear refutation of the Mayavadi philosophy. The eternal ontological placement of God is such that he can’t be deluded by his own energy.

Darkness can never cover the sun.

As souls, we don’t have to experience darkness. When we turn away from the sun, we automatically experience shadow.

Similarly, the God, souls, and Maya externally present. It is only when we want to experience something away from God that we experience entanglement.

It is our free will, which is critical. We are not the Sun, we are rays. Which can be blocked.

Bg. 7.25

नाहं प्रकाश: सर्वस्य योगमायासमावृत: ।
मूढोऽयं नाभिजानाति लोको मामजमव्ययम् ॥ २५ ॥

I am never manifest to the foolish and unintelligent. For them I am covered by My internal potency, and therefore they do not know that I am unborn and infallible.

Bg. 7.26

वेदाहं समतीतानि वर्तमानानि चार्जुन ।
भविष्याणि च भूतानि मां तु वेद न कश्चन ॥ २६ ॥

O Arjuna, as the Supreme Personality of Godhead, I know everything that has happened in the past, all that is happening in the present, and all things that are yet to come. I also know all living entities; but Me no one knows.

Just as the sun produces clouds, but is never covered by the clouds. The clouds obstruct our vision, and not the sun. Similarly, Maya is the energy of God and it is subordinate to God. It cannot illusion God.

Maya is also a servant of God. A devotee. She doesn’t have the intention and the power to usurp the position of God. Maya serves God as an arena for the souls to test their desires and ultimately understand that it is God alone that can give them happiness.
